The Health health and safety of nursing home residents and staff is a top priority for Governor
ICMCF does not have any new residents or staff members ill with positive COVID test results.
Governor Whitmer continues to uphold that the health and safety of nursing home residents and staff is a top priority. Wednesday, the governor signed Executive Order 2020-169 which protects residents from involuntary discharge, safeguards employees from disciplinary actions for staying home if exhibiting symptoms, and requires facilities to maintain strong infection control protocols and the appropriate use and accessibility of PPE.
Visitor Restrictions Remain Under Current Executive Order
Under Governor Whitmer’s current Executive Order 2020-156, visitor restrictions are still in place for entry into facilities designed to care for venerable populations. This order, effective thru August 31, 2020 replaces the previous order 2020-136.
